Senior Warehouse Specialist

General description:

This is a full-time position for an experienced individual who will be responsible for all aspects of inventory management, shipping and receiving as needed. Located in S. Everett/N. Lynnwood.

The Senior Warehouse Specialist ensures that the daily functions and procedures keep the warehouse running smoothly and efficiently. From shipping and receiving, to production kitting, to maintaining inventory, the Warehouse Specialist keeps close tabs on all facets of warehouse operations.

Duties include, but not limited to: kitting & picking parts for production, inventory control, cycle counting inventory, packing/unpacking, inbound receiving, outbound shipping, producing international & domestic shipping documents, and assisting production with processing of material through various steps to ready it for use in building CO2 gas lasers. This position would also be responsible for helping to drive continuous improvement in our inventory related processes and would provide some day to day direction to other employees in the warehouse. It will report to the Supply Chain Supervisor.

An ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

  • Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes.
  • Understanding of shipping and receiving processes, including international shipping and export documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Ability to multitask and work with limited direction.
  • Experience in continuous process improvement, with leadership in this area a significant advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Highly capable in Excel including manipulating data using pivot tables, filtering, exporting and using data from ERP system, and strong understanding of Excel functions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere.
  • Quick learner.
  • Flexible and adaptable to an ever changing environment is a critical skill.
  • Dependable and resourceful.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs, up to 5ft above ground.
  • Strong English writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent Computer skills including MS Office, E-mail etc.

Configuration Analyst

General description:

This is a full-time position for an individual that will oversee the configuration of all bills of materials and parts for a laser manufacturing company located in S. Everett/N. Lynnwood.

Configuration Analyst Role

  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate and complete document control system using the Agile PLM system to release, secure and transmit product records.
  • Accept and act upon change requests.
  • Participate as a member of the Configuration Control Board and probably chair it in the long term.
  • Process, distribute, and maintain controlled documentation using Agile PLM.
    • Create and release Bill of Material (BOM) structures based on input from Engineering and Manufacturing.
    • Release part numbers accurately, including review and collection of data and documentation from Engineering or Program Management.
  • Process documents for revision and approval.
  • Train and update new hires and teams on change processes.
  • Train staff on document control processes and procedures.
  • Train and coach Agile PLM users on creating and completing compliant Change Orders (ECO/MCO/CR/DEV).
  • Write reports and procedural documents.
  • Create, review and revise documentation procedure according to standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze change requests and actions to identify trends and underlying needs.
  • Communicate with other departments to create buy-in for the change process.
  • Organize the routing of documents throughout the process from conceptualization, approvals, distribution to release.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and other supporting functional departments to structure new products and document product changes in the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement best practices for documenting changes and on-going improvement to streamline processes.
  • Assist in developing Agile PLM by adding features for efficient Agile use.
  • Ensure data integrity between Agile PLM and EPICOR ERP systems throughout the change cycle.
  • Ensure Change Orders comply with policies, procedural guidelines and systems.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a management discipline, bachelor’s degree in project management from an accredited college, B.S. in engineering, or B.S. in engineering technology or equivalent in work experience, in which case a AS or AA with Project Management Certification will be sufficient.
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience in configuration management and control.
  • Experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Agile PLM preferred. Experience as a system administrator for a PLM system is highly desirable.
  • Experience with configuration management in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Epicor highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience using a Product Data Management system for version control of in-work engineering documents. SolidWorks PDM preferred, but any vault system would apply.

Laser Test Technician

Summary:

Access Laser Company is seeking an individual with the experience and skills to test specialty laser products.  Experience with lasers is highly desirable, but is not a requirement for the position.  Starting pay DOE.  Located in S. Everett/N. Lynnwood.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a small dedicated team to produce and service specialized laser products.
  • Test and fine tune specialty lasers to defined specifications prior to shipping.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that all lasers shipped meet the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and other manufacturing personnel.
  • Improve tooling, setup, and equipment related to specialty laser products and RF power supplies.

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a test or technician role in high tech manufacturing or a similar service organization.
  • Associates degree in electronics technology, engineering technology, or similar fields of study.
  • Deep experience with measurement/test equipment and hand tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronics, optics, or mechanical manufacturing.
  • Good hands-on skills for building, trouble-shooting and repairing electromechanical assemblies.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to meticulously follow defined processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs, up to 5ft above ground.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills relating to Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • References are required.

Qualifications Not Required But A Plus:

  • Experience building, testing or using lasers would be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous job experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts would be an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of physics, with an associate’s degree being a distinct advantage.
  • An understanding and previous experience with RF power supplies would be beneficial.
