Access Laser Company, Member of the TRUMPF Group, Honored by Laser Focus World 2018 Innovators Awards Program

May 10th, 2018 – Access Laser, manufacturer of high-precision CO2 lasers, announced today that its All-Tissue DL-500 Dental Laser was recognized by the judges of the annual Laser Focus World Innovators Awards program. The judging panel consisted of a panel of senior expert professionals.

Access Laser was honored with a Bronze award for design of the first 9.3µm laser specifically tailored to all-tissue laser dentistry. By providing short microsecond pulses with energies of 15mJ, this laser is able to effectively ablate dental hard tissue and enable carbonate removal from enamel for caries prevention. Combining these new capabilities with the traditional high performance soft-tissue procedures associated with dental CO2lasers, this product takes a giant step forward in the proliferation of conservative dentistry. In addition to the outstanding beam quality and technical specifications, the small footprint and low heat dissipation required to operate at full power will mean a more accessible workstation for general dentistry.
